    Hi,

I have a mountable encrypted drive (600Gig) on a 1TB USB and need to run chkdsk on it, but it XP sp3 says doesn't have exclusive access and needs to run on reboot. However XP can't because it's not mounted at reboot. I maybe could run chkdsk on the 1TB drive itself (also says needs exclusive access and needs to be run at reboot) but am worried that the 600Gig partition could get trashed by chkdsk? Would that be safe?

    Thanks
