Running scripts box in Firefox

Firefox constantly puts up a box saying, "Scripts running could slow PC. Continue or cancel" What is this? How can I stop the boxes?

 

Is that word for word, the exact error message?

 

WFW it's something like, Running scripts could slow down your system. Continue or cancel. These boxes come up every ten minutes. The current screen disappears until you push continue.

What does that number setting mean? It's set to 10.

 

Double click the entry. You will get a prompt to change it. Sorry, for not telling that part.

My dom.max_script_run_time as set to one billion (1000000000) when I checked it. No idea how that happened or when??? I had reset it before because I keep getting freezups and script warnings (mostly on gmail) but I never set it to 1 billion???
