Runtime Error

Hi
I have an IBM Think Pad i Series with Windows ME on it. When I turn it on three error messages come up. I cannot connect to the web since this happened.

The first Message is:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
PROGRAM C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SSDPSRV.EXE

The second is:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
PROGRAM C:\WINDOWS

The third is:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
PROGRAM C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\AOL\ACS\AOLACSD.EXE

I tried to restore system but it will only allow the current day and cannot get to previous months or days. Ran Spyware and Virus scans - nothing showed up. It will not read the CDROM to reset the system.
HELP!! I've spent long agonizing hours doing all the things that the computer people I know have told me but without results. Any ideas would help. Using another computer to pick up e-mail right now. If anyone knows what's going on please help.
