Russia farmer convicted of planting landmines in field

neat idea just to bad you get in trouble for it.

I find that pretty funny but sad/wrong way. Wrong people go hurt and not the greatest to build explosives. But just funny because he made them to protect his farm(which to me is normal) and someone set them off. Be funny to see the story of the guy that go caught going into his farm. The guy probably say well I was tring to steal some potatos.. then darn thing just went off and blast my leg off.. now Ill never get to steal any more potatos.

 

*FacePalm* that is the worst Idea I have ever heard. Who in their right mind would plant land mines in a plow field, it's just not right!

I can't blame the old man for protecting his food/vodka precursor at all. The injured party had no business being there, was probably a drunk and stole potatoes for his still. At least this was recognized and he was given a suspended sentence. Americans can shoot thieves on their property so why not though I admit IEDs are a bit much.

2.Which actually worked! Out of 3 trip wire land mines laid he scores one hit :-D That's a 33% efficiency in his intruder detection system,about 5% or less of land mines ever score a hit.

3.After making illegal explosive devices,laying them with the intent to kill,injure and maim he only receives a suspended sentence :-D
