Safe mode and Bitdefender problem

do an online scan at Bitdefender <-- agree to the license and then select Scan
do an online scan at RavAntivirus <-- In the box where it says "To continue without subscribing click here". Click the link, then select Auto Clean then click Scan My PC

Two questions/problems:

Can I access the interent in Safe Mode?

I was not able to do a scan at either one of the above.

For instance, when I click on the Bitdefender "I agree" it reads

Could not load the Online Scanner!
Service Pack 2 was detected on this computer.
Click on the information bar and select "Install ActiveX Control...".

What shall I do?

First I have to ask why you are even posting this for two reasons:

1) your already have a thread started for your problems: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=70053

2) In your first message in the above thread you said and I quote:

If you had already follow the READ ME FIRST, why are you now asking about BitDefender and RavAntivirus online scanner problems now. This would mean that you never completed the steps in the READ ME FIRST but yet you already said you did in another post.

I'm sorry but I never could do either of those two online scans. I freaked out a bit and though it'd be "ok" if I went ahead anyway. I sincerely apologize for doing that.

I think I got caught up in the idea that HJT could solve the problem. I feel bad for wasting you time.

I'll stop writing in this section.

Would it be too much to ask for more help?
