safe mode win 95

how do you get into safe mode windows 95

 

• By pressing F5 at the "Starting Windows 95" message.

• By pressing F8 at the "Starting Windows 95" message, and then choosing Safe Mode from the Windows 95 Startup menu.

• Automatically, if Windows 95 did not start on the previous attempt.

if the computer works good in safe mode can I assme a program is missing a certain file it needs to run? not internet computer so I dont think virus or malware. windows 95 old computer very old

 

Do you have an error when you try to start normely ?

IF yes what the message ?

If it start in safe mode at least you could backup your stuff and do a clean install of win95.

 

thanks again If I remember half way correctly something like 32.dll file then everyhting started getting slow and now it say I only have 16 mb of ram
