safe temperature for my laptop after oc

i overclocked my gpu and i have been playing call of duty alot i took a look at my temps today and my cpu was 70 degrees and my gpu was 75 is that ok

 

Overclocking NB's are a tricky situation ,,,they don't have same ability to cool down as a tower,,,the 70-75 = 40-45C is still in safe limits but please be carefull ,,,is that at full load ???!!!!,,,PS please advise what the system specks are ,also what you were able to achive in the OC,,,also what software are you using for temp monitoring

I was talking in degrees centegrate. so it was at 70C. Im using i8kfangui for monitoring my temp. I am having no adverse affects to this heat production and im getting a Cooling Pad soon. Those temps are when the cpu is at 100%. Before the OC Core was 200Mhz now 250Mhz and the Mem was 390Mhz now 415Mhz. Thats the best i could get out of it. Any higher and the notebook would freeze or become unstable. I have had no problems with these figures.

Pentium IV 2.2GHZ
40GB HD
512 RAM
64MB Geforce Nvidia 4200 Go Mobile

 

70 degree Celsius = 158 degree F Thats HOT I would recomend you go to the chip product page and find the optimal temps,,if you overheat will actually SLOW down,,or burn up your Processor !!!! so your overclocking may be detromental in the long run,,,for a minor jump in speed,,,just be carefull,,,Glenn

I do a little trick to cool my laptop..a 20in box fan LOL sit it on top,,,clear the bottom for some air flow,,,,,bring those temps down in a hurry !!!!!

 

PS My P4 2.8,,,runs at 45C max underfull load,,,running at 100% processor, 24/7 running the folding@home project,,,,2755.00 actual clock speed,,,,,,no extra box fan,,if I set it on the box fan,,,temps down to 35-37C full load,,,
