Salary Advice...

Hello All, I just wanted some opinions on this topic...

What kind of salary should one earn in the IT field? My current job title is a Computer systems Technician, i deal with servers, Networks, Projects and so on... im 22 making $32,000/yr. Is this good? bad? average? I do enjoy what i do and i want to continue my career in this industry but i was wondering what is the salary potential, Others older than i am that have experience in this field, what are your thoughts?.... I live in New York, i know other cities in the US vary in pay, What do you guys think? Thank you for any feedback.

You have age on your side, so get experience and the money will follow.

 

I have to agree with Insomniac. In addition to what he said, keep learning. Keep taking courses until you cannot take anymore. Keep up to date with the latest demands. It also helps to know what kind of changes are coming, before they happen.
