samsung blackjack sgh-i607 Need 9mits usb rndis)

    I just got a samsung blackjack 1 and i am using it as a modem on my laptop with the tether package, but it does not charge through usb, was told i was missing the mits usb rndis driver but i cannot find it any where. has anyone found this?

    I am running windows 7 on a dell latitude d630
    2 gigs ram dual core 2.5 ghz

    please help :(

    <update> I installed device center and it now charges in active sync, but does not charge while it is set as a modem for my tether package, does anyone have any solutions as to how to get it to charge while i am using it as a modem?


    windows 7 ultimate 64bit on a dell latitude d630
    2 gigs ram dual core 2.5 ghz

    Hi

    What version of Device Center do you have installed?

    Looking around Samsung's site for updates to the Modem Driver, they do not list one for Win7 only for XP/Vista and while that one "may" work in Windows 7, the big negative is that it may not work in your x64 enviroment, could try it and see but it would only be a 50/50 chance of working correctly... driver and instruction is HERE


    Could give Samsung support an email and ask them on this too, sadly while I use Windows Mobile, my phone is a HTC HD2 and its Windows 7 compatible, so dont know enough about the BJ to know if it indeed should charge while in tethering mode or not.


    Did notice many blogs and comments on forums that the phone cannot charge while in tethering mode, here is one sample below

    Thanks Halo, I had to force it to work, then crashed my only copy of win7 had to reinstall xp pro sp3, and now the modem needs drivers samsung was not any help, I cannot find a real driver for it on there website or through there tech support.

    same specs but with windows xp pro sp3 active sync and ATT communications manager latest version.

    Any idea on this?
