Ok, I just bought this phone less than a month ago. I somehow got a virus on it. What should I do?
There is a little white box that pops up every once in awhile (a couple times a day) and has a red android virus threat found picture behind it. What the box says changes but last time it said i have this virus: hornyworm.***! and then it tells me to follow the instructions from this website to remove it: mobiupdate.net/fatalvirus/en/26/index

Im afraid to try it because I have a feeling its a virus itself.

I have somehow lost all my google contacts but have gained some of one of my sons. PLEASE help me?

Thank you so much in advance!

Have you installed any sort of antivirus that would detect anything? I suspect you have not.

It's an advertisement from some app you installed. It's trying to scare you into paying for an antivirus app or trick you into downloading something bad. To get rid of this popup, you will have to remove the offending app.

Here's a list of real Android antivirus apps you might consider for your peace of mind:

Unfortunately, I don't have any solutions for your missing contacts.:-o

What antivirus app do you have? I've checked into this 'hornyworm' app warning and it seems it is a popup ad from an ad supported app designed to scare you into visiting that site to get scammed or infected with real viruses. You would have to uninstall the offending app to get rid of the popups.

Here are some antivirus apps you might consider if you don't have one already:

I don't have an antivirus on my phone. NEVER even thought to put one on! I will look over the list you provided and download one tonight and post my results tomorrow. Thank you so very, very much for your help!!!
