I have used samsung ram for years, mainly because my first "modern" computer was an e-machines, and it used samsung ram. When I went to upgrade the ram, I decided buying samsung was a safer bet.

I now have my custom built PC fitted with 2gigs (4 X 512) of 400mhz samsung brand. I bought it because it was on sale and I was familier with it -and I've never had any trouble with this brand.

I've been running Samsung RD Ram (rambus) PC800 for quite a while now. Never had an issue with it & it's been overclocked for nearly two years. Good stuff. :)

Good. Because I found Samsung for less than PNY. Is Corsair better than Samsung.

Samsung are one of the worlds largest semiconductor manufacturers and as such their memory module chips are used in many memory ram sticks from companies such as Corsair, so its very likely that a Corsair memory stick will have Samsung memory module chips on it, Samsung I know custom make some of the actual memory component chips for Corsair and others for their specialised ram modules.

So to answer your question, I would go with either as most likely the chips used on the Corsair will be Samsung but is their a big price difference?

personally like Hipster I have always sourced Samsung memory as I too use RDRAM and its superb stable stuff.
