sas and mbam freezing

I don't have any symptoms of malware infection, however, as part of my routine maintenance, when I run mbam and sas, both of them get stuck in different areas of my C: drive. My C drive is a SSD, so I performed a chkdsk, and nothing changed. I'm wondering if the drive being an SSD has anything to do with it. They get stuck in different files everytime, and everytime I have to hard off the computer, I then go to the file in which the sas or mbam got stuck to see if it is corrupt, and they never are corrupt . Anybody else having this issue ? BTW- Avira antivirus never gets frozen and works just fine .
