SAS questions

    I purchased SAS pro today as recommended in "how to protect yourself from malware" as Comodo has been giving me problems recently. It doesn't seem to integrate with Windows 7. What is the best way to remove the action center notification ("Find an antivirus program online")? Also, should I be leaving Windows Defender on? I'm assuming I should be leaving Windows Firewall off. Thanks.

    SUPERAntiSpyware is not a replacement for Comodo AntiVirus and Firewall. SAS is just an antispyware type program.

    By installing an antivirus program because you uninstalled yours when you removed Comodo.

    Not needed nor recommended if you have the paid version of SAS.

    What firewall program did you install to replace it?

    Thanks. It took me a bit to realize SAS is not an antivrus exactly. What I've done is installed Avast as my antivirus and Comodo as my firewall. I've turned off all real-time protection in Avast. Is that the right thing to do if running SAS? In addition, I've turned off Windows firewall and Defender. Plus, I installed SpywareBlaster. Did all other steps in the readme. Does this sound like a good configuration? I am open to any other suggestions of antivirus and firewall programs to use.

    No, you need to keep Avast running real time protection. It is an Anti-virus program where as SAS is an Anti-spyware program.
