Up here in Western NY we run out of weather quickly this time of year. That is...it gets cold/wet/windy often so you try to grab some fun when you are allowed to by Mother Nature(a woman so veeeeeerrrrrrrry unpredictable, and yes, at times erratic)so when we saw a small window of opportunity, we loaded the bait bucket and launched the boat. Well...to those of you unfortunate enough to never run out of minnows while filling the live-well with most assuredly is the best tasting freshwater fish on the planet....I sorrow for you. To those of you that have experienced this sort of end-of-the-season fishing...and savored the sweet firm tasty yellow perch(basically a small walleye)you KNOW what I speak of.

Believe it or not Sasquatch we have a few perch down here in Tennessee. I caught some below Watts Bar dam years ago while sauger fishing. The guy's next to us had a few and didn't know what they were.

Still catching crappie here and supposed to have a fairly warm week ahead. I will probably hit it a couple of evenings this week.....and take plenty of minnows and crickets. ;)
