Sat pro no go

Hi All

Newbie to your site so Thanks in advance for your answers

Picked up a Toshiba Sat Pro A40 ,completely formatted it and installed a legal XP Pro.

Trying to connect to internet using a Netgear wg511 card which works on my other laptop , It will not connect even though I have installed driver for it ?.

It comes up with "Limited or No Connectivity,The problem occured because the Network did not assign a Network Address to the Computer"

Any ideas please?.
