    Hey Guys,

Firstly can i say i apoligise for my absence on replying to previous posts as since i last posted i have purchased a new sata hard drive which i plan to install as soon as possible. I was just hoping i could ask you guys some questions about it as you have helped me out in the past :)

Ok well i can install the drive physically into my computer as i have done so with drives in the past, also might i add my motherboard does not support sata drives running at 3.0gbit/s so i have to use the jumper switch to force it to operate at 1.5gbit/s.

My question is when installing xp on this new drive and formatting it when it comes up with the option to a, set up windows on the selected item press ENTER b, to create a partition in the unpartitioned space press c which option should i choose. Also windows does the trick where it only recognises 127gb of space on the hardrive in my case its a 250gb disk however i dont mind partitioning the unallocated space to a seperate drive when ive installed xp using computer management.

I have ran a hardrive with a jumper limiting operation to 1.5gbit.s before so im fine with it. I was also wondering wether you guys had any other information before i install the drive?

I appreciate you guys for taking the time to help me with my query :)
