sata problems

my sata hd was corrupted by ms download,i cant access it in any shape or form,so fitted a sata from an old lappy works great. i then bought a usb hdd enclosure to format my corrupted hd. when i plug it in the corrupted hd overrides the new one and crashes lappy. i have switched them around with the same results.... any ideas....rayhttp://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/drool.gif

 

try using a scan tool to scan the drive for errors. use the one that's for the manufacturer.
on the ultimate boot cd, there are a list of tools from various drive manufacturers on it, and it's bootable.

Thanks for the tips i am tryig to download ubcd but it seems ti be sending my laptop haywire,when downloading al i get from other programmes is not responding,am still trying though.......ray
