sata setup

im trying to install win xp on a HP m7690e and set up cant see my sata drives and the hp site is a nightmare, nothing of any real uses :§ and there tech help was a wast of 30mins..... so if any one knows ware to find the drivers for set up I'll love you forever:drool

Check "Enable SATA native mode" half way down the page.

 

I know SATA setup is ez its step one thats the problem

HP has no sata drivers for this box :confused and the site you linked has a set of sata drivers for a different modal #, im go see if that what is needed

 

I see the problem.
There appears to be only the one SATA driver available on HP

This is the same as the one i found on the first link but i tried it and got no love:cry so im back to google for right now.

what version of xp are you trying to install? I believe with sp2, you might have a better chance at windows already having the driver for the install...

 

did you integrate SATA drivers into Windows XP disk it is the only way you are going to get the driver to work. The progam you use for this is nlite.

Ok the driver that joelsz found is good, but i also need a set of drivers by nvidia:confused so now they make software for raid array news to me. I'll post the files i had to use. maybe it can help some poor soul that has to do this.

and it was xp pro sp2

and you can integrated the sata drivers in setup... f6 at the start of it
