Sata?

    splitt3r You are now the victim of a drive by title change

    what exactly is SATA? like what are the benefits of it, I know it has to do with the hdd connection, but thats about it.

    SATA is just a new type of a connection that is faster. The old connection which you may know as IDE or PATA uses parallel cables (Hence the P in PATA). SATA on the other hand uses Serial connections. WHich are faster then parallel connections.

    SO essentially SATA is just faster then the older PATA drives. Also, as a bonus SATA cables are WAY smaller and nicer to work with. :)
