Says internet is connected but can't get on internet

Just recently my wireless internet connection said it was connected but I couldn't use anything that utilizes the internet. For example Firefox and IE won't load any websites, and AIM won't connect. My first thought was a virus, and sure enough when I ran a scanner I found a pretty big Trojan.Crypt infection (50,000 files). I got rid of it, but the problem didn't go away. I ran another scan and it found another, much smaller Trojan.Crypt infection (2 files). What troubled me was that these files were in system restore. Anyway, the problem is still there. Anybody have any idea what I should do?

 

You should go to the Malware Removal Forum and go through the procedures in the READ AND RUN ME FIRST sticky.
Once you have done that, post the required logs and the Malware guys will get you cleaned out. Please be aware they are very busy, so please be patient.
Once that is done, you can see if you still have connection problems and take it from there.
