scaleo p fault

hello i was wondering if any 1 can help me out i have got a fujitsu siemens scaleo p prob 3 yrs old when i first switch on it takes about 6/7 times b4 it stays on it gives me a black screen and asks if i want to start in safe mode then when it finally stays on the fan sounds like its working overtime and it keeps crashing when i start using certain programs like for eg when i want to do video calls on live msn or when i try to play pc games
