Scan Registry from Bootable Thumbdrive

I have a computer that has fallen victim to the dreaded BSOD of the BAD_POOL_CALLER type. I cannot get beyond the log in screen before it appears and restarts.

I have tested my memory, not the issue. I have run chkdsk from a windows disk to repair any corrupted win files, didn't fix it.

So my next step is to the scan the registry, however, like i said, I cannot get into Windows, not even in safe mode.

So my question is, does anyone know of some good software I can use to scan the registry from a thumbdrive?
