Scan Turns Off My Computer When It Gets To Driver.cab File

Oops Tim, we were posting at the same time. I didn't read this before that last one was posted. But like I said, I did clean it out. For those of you with laptops like mine, it is a necessary evil. I just took the bottom cover off the fans and blew on them. Major Dust! There are three fans, and I don't know how to tell if the sync on the cpu is loose or not!

It's great you didn't give up! I've been enjoying this thread alot. As for Everest, for some reason, it doesn't measure temperatures for me. Maybe the same problem as the Dells have. Anyway, Happy Halloween!

It has been working all day and I've been busy... downloading Firefox, running scans of all sorts, etc. It is so much quieter too... it used to be so noisy it sounded like a jet or something! Now I have to look at it to check if it's still on! Not one shut down since the cleaning... ahem... now where's that mop?
