Scanjet 6200c Software

I need three software files to get my HP Scanjet 6200c installed on Windows XP Version 2002, Service Pack 3.

HPIE.REG, HPSCNCLI.REG, and HPSCNSVR.REG

Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried going to www.hp.com and downloading the driver? Remember to have the USB cable unplugged when you start the driver.

 

Yes I have. The above mentioned files are not included in their download. I do not believe the scanner can be initialized without these files.

I found that article last night, entered the files in the registry and still no initialization of the scanner. I am going to try connecting the scanner with an SCSI cable to see if that makes a difference.

Yes, that is where I downloaded my current driver. Apparently this particular series of scanners have had notorious problems with USB connections. That is why I thought I would try a SCSI connection.

 

That unit is so old, it is not even worth it to even try to install, alone that there are better units out there now days, that are Backwards compatible with XP.
