scardupd.exe!

    Hey there,

    After noticing a very slow internet connection, I've scanned my computer with NOD32/Ad-Aware/SpyWare Doctor/Spybot S&D and found so many viruses/trojans that I can't even remember. That's pretty curious, since my Nod32 is always up and updated :mellow:

    After cleaning my viruses, I got a DCOM service (whatever) restart like in this picture ( http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q183/co...scu/restart.jpg ), and after the restart my computer started acting funny - random restarts, frequent freezes, etc.

    I got a scardupd.exe that's always running. I end the process, immediately it restarts. It eats randomly 8-60 MB of memory. IT HAS TO BE A VIRUS.
    I rescanned all my hard drive with the tools I mentioned earlier and they appear to be clean. What the hell?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Since you are already working this at other forums,

    I will probably be closing this thread. In the future please do not cross post to multiple forums. Resources that help perform malware removal are very precious and very limited. It is a waste of our resources when you do this. If you wish to work this here on Major Geeks, then please post messages at all other forums where you have posted asking the to close the threads so that you do not waste anymore resources on duplicate work. Then run thru our cleaning procedure (see the link I posted into your 1st message where I deleted the HijackThis log) and attach the logs we request.

    By the way scardupd.exe may just be SmartCard reader update. Your problems may be related to :\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\mof\bad\helpservice.exe
