Scented Soap. To Strong?

So, I ordered a bar of peppermint and tea tree bar of soap. They sent me 3 little hotel bars for free as samples. Let's just say the house smells festive. I wrapped the samples up in syran, that toned them down. Now my bathroom smells like peppermint and Dr. Tishner's.

Hell, guess that is better than other smells... :-D

I will say the soap was very relaxing in my nightly soak. But don't see using it in the AM, smelling like a peppermint might not be the best thing.

The smell is much more subdued now, I guess using the soap kills some of the smell.

But for a while, I was ready to toss this stuff out!

 

Room air freshener and soap in one. What a deal.:-D

 

I do like Peppermint, but I dunno if I would like to smell like a breath mint all day long.:-D
I had this soap-on-a-rope given to me once, many years ago. It was shaped like a Tiki statue and smelt..well, weird! As it got more wet, ( I was to scared to actually put that what ever it was on my body!rolleyes), it became more weird looking, twisted....almost an evil in itself.
I had myself convinced it was Possessed, or something!..Ha, ha!:-o
Ended up tossing it in the incinerator. I swear it made a funny noise when I tossed it in. Probably just the sound of boiling soap, but it freaked me out for a second, LoL!

 

LoL!, yeah I had Peppermint Bath oil, so I suppose there's not much difference. I have Ginger soap, so yeah. But it's supposed to be relaxing. Seems to be effective.

Or because your a guy, order it then don't tell anyone because people like me will rip on you. Better yet you ordered some peppermint and tea tree soap for your girlfriend and it you ran out of 'man' soap usually made with axle grease and sand so it was an emergency.

It mellowed overnight. Now just the bathroom smells like peppermint and Dr. Tishners.

But, the soap smell lingers, starting to like it. Washed my face with it this morning, still had a peppermint smell at 5PM. Not strong, subtle. And the stuff feels great on the skin.

Going to do some training/shooting this weekend, but not soap. :-D

I ordered it for myself. But, it was ordered from a good Conservative website.

Rip all you want. I like stuff that makes me feel better. Turning into an old fart, don't care what other's think about me. :-D

 

Scented soap has to have a very strong fragrance to start out with. The soap itself drowns it out otherwise, not to mention you typically use it by diluting it with lots of water.

I'll spare you an enthusiastic tangent into the benefits of peppermint and tea tree in general and simply say those two are good choices for soap and leave it at that. As a bonus, they smell good.

I recently added an almond-orange soap to my collection. The others are one coconut scented, one orange-mango, one eucalyptus, one ginger, and one dragon's blood. The last one contains resin from the dragonblood tree, and smells a bit like a heavier kind of pine resin. That and the almond-orange are my two current favorites.

And then we have the many lotions.... :cool

This coming from a guy who has over a dozen flavours of lip-balm - Ha! Well, the lady sells Avon stuff, so ended up buying every flavour, just to be safe from getting hated on for buying the wrong ones :yum.
