Scholarship resource help

My college loans are getting out of control and a buddy told me I should try to get some scholarship money... Unfortunately, I know nothing on the subject, so I figured I'd come here to see if anyone else had some thoughts.

Anyone got any ideas, info, or resources?

I'm betting I am not the only one who can benefit from this thread. I know that I am not the only one dreading these growing student loans....

Is MPD an issue here???

 

If your still in school, that will make a difference….as long as you take one unit of college credit a semester, you won’t have to pay on the loans

 

also what level, if you are still in first 2 yrs good grades could help and any local org? $200 times 5 is alot more than you have now. walmart , agriculture
based, service related ? national guard like Halo said , where you stay?

Crap, I didn't realize I posted under my brother's account, sorry if that was confusing but it was me, MrOrange22. I have been really getting annoyed with all these saved passwords on my computer always messing things up.

 

You could always try financing your studies the way this now very affluent student did......just don't get blackmailed!

Before Iraq I would have said join the Army for two years. 1200.00 of your money turns into 32,000.00 for college. I was in for three years, visited Bosnia, and came home. I started school last semester and the Army pays the tab. Not a bad return on my investment. (Mentally, physically, and financially)

Now with Iraq, MAYBE the national guard or reserves would not be a bad idea. I dont think they ship out people in school. They have good programs for school and you don't have to leave home except once a month, and two weeks a year (except for basic and AIT).

 

I am not sure if any of these are in school at the present time, but they are in National Guard and are being shipped to Iraq. I know a couple of them personally.

Here is some information on the "Pell Grant". I used it myself for the couple years I was in Jr. College, and it covered the whole tab!!

Yeah, 200 * 5 = YES PLEASE! Hahaaha. I will take anything at this point, really....

 

Minor Update:

I put in the paperwork for fafsa, hoping I can get some decent aid....

Other than that STILL haven't heard back from any of my other applications....
No idea how long I should expect to wait.
