screen blinks and freezes? using windows 7?

Hi
three weeks ago, i bought a Lenovo IdeaPad Y560
and it came with Windows7x64, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730, and Intel i7 720qm processor

starting from around two weeks ago, I have continuously received this error.
"Display driver AMD has stopped responding and has successfuly recovered"
However, before that error appears, one of three things happens
1. the screen blanks for 2 seconds and goes back to normal
2. the screen blinks and ultimately freezes up,
3. BSoD

I usually get the error three times a day and a BSoD once every two days
it is really driving me crazy and i will appreciate any help I can get to fix this problem

Hi

Have you installed anything new before this happened, could be software or a driver udpate?

Does the same happen if you boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot)? this may help rule out a startup app causing this.

If it doesnt happen then in Normal mode (just boot as normal) and then click Start and type msconfig into the Start Search box and hit enter, then click the Startup tab and disable everything, then reboot and does it happen? if not then enable one startup at a time and reboot until you see what app causes this, then uninstall that app or see if their is an update for it (please do tell us what app it is).

Check to see if Lenovo have a graphic driver update for your model PC.

Is the laptop getting hot? temps can cause random errors.

If you get a BSOD, please write down the full error message so that we can see what it is, the faulting file or error code can highlight the cause at times.
