Screen Jumps

I log onto some sites, i.e. Newsmax, that use their scroll feature to find and access sundry stories to read.
I am having constant difficulties in that the screen "jumps" further up or back in the story or table of contents, and I have to scroll again to get to where I was. There seems to be no set length of time for it to occur, it may do this only once while I am logged on, or it may do this frequent times. I may be logged onto only one site or to multiple sites. Tried logging off, then back on, but that seems to have no affect.
Is there a solution I can try, or is this the fault of the site?

Try using your mouse's scroll wheel rather than clicking the scroll bars.

 

What web browser are you using.

It took me a while to swap to Edge, I hated it in the beginning but now I wouldn't be without it.

Don't waste your time, Win 7 does not have Edge.
