I did a clean install of an Asus Eee PC netbook with XP SP3 and installed all the drivers, and stuff worked fine, then the software I wanted, and changed the main account from Admin to User. Now I can't get the resolution to stay on 1034x600. Sometimes both accounts stay there after reboot, sometimes both accounts change back to 800x600, and sometimes only one. Sometimes it looks right just after logging on, but changes back to the wrong res. as everything starts up, and other times it is wrong at first then goes right when stuff is loading.

I've tried changing in both Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 and in Windows display settings. I've also tried re-installing the driver, and starting in Normal mode with all services running rather the the usual selective mode with some stuff disabled.

After a lot of fiddling and restarting, I think I've noticed a pattern: When I shut down/restart when another account is open (eg I am using Admin and User is also logged on, or vice versa), the resolution on that other account goes back to the default of 800x600, but the account from which the machine was shut down/restarted retains the correct settings.

Anyone know why this would happen, and how to stop it?
