screen resolution?

every time im playing Cod:MW2 after a while my screen gets really messed up

What type of graphics card do you have? It looks to me like a video card issue. perhaps it is overheating? Do you have a temp checker, on the video card? Is anything on your CPU OC'ed? There are numerous tools here on MG that monitor the temp of video cards, CPU, HD etc. etc.
Next time you play try to turn the graphics setting down a bit before you play

 

i have a G 6800 nothing is OC'ed and im running the game on lowest settings and i dont get any bit of lag in graphics it runs completly smooth. also i run the game at the same resolution as my moniter is set to.

 

Did you try a temp monitor? Just to see if it was overheating? If that doesn't help I'm not sure what is the problem. Does it only do it with that game, or others as well?

 

my best guess is its overheating cause it has happened on another game that requires a decent graphics card. im not sure what to do other then have quick games and let it sit for a few mins between games. if anyone can offer a solution id be quite happy

It is a spiffy little on screen monitor. Not sure what a G 6800 is but I'm guessing it could be BFG 6800, or a geforce 6800. but.. the system requirements for COD MW2 are,
