Hello. I accidentaly changed the screen resolution one too high on my Compaq Presario Intel Celeron D MS XP MediaCenter Edition 2005 running XP Professional. Now after several times rebooting, I get a black screen that says: 1. Analog Input Cannot Display This Video Mode. Optimum resolution 1680x1050 60Hz. I don't know how to change it back or even get to a screen to fix it. Please help. Thank you.

Press F8 to get to the boot option screen and select Enable VGA Mode. This will set your screen resolution to 640x480.

In Control Panel, go to Display, then the Settings tab.

On a blank part of your desktop, Right-click with your mouse and select "Personalize". Then click the bottom link that says "Display Settings". From there, you can adjust your resolution with the slider bar, or adjust your resolution with the drop-down menu. hope this helps!:major
