How do I take a screen shot of my desktop?

Note that pasting from the clipboard usually pastes a bitmap (.BMP) rather than a compressed image like JPEG. So you may want to use paste-special to reduce the resulting image file size.

I'm definitely going to give that a try.

Here is a recent thread about Screen Capture software which mentions the one I have been using, Gadwin Printscreen, which I learned about on these forums.

 

Our users love greenshot. You can set it to immediately print when you capture the screen. Our users seem to love to print everything. http://getgreenshot.org/ I didn't find it on majorgeeks though.
