I keep getting a script error while trying to print from IE. I've searched through previous posts but none matched this specific error message.

It's a Windows XP machine with Service Pack 3 installed. I also have the latest drivers for the printer (HP OfficeJet 6000 wireless)

    the script error reads:

"Internet Explorer Script Error. An error has occured on this page.
    Line: 1507
    Char:1
    Error: Invalid Argument
    Code: 0
    url: res://ieframe.dll/preview.js"

    I am running IE8

plodr's suggestion is a good one. If you don't like reading, you could try resetting all your IE settings to their default and reinstalling java. If neither of those fixes it then I'm afraid you have to go back to the boring Microsoft article :(.

Went through the entire MS article; Did not fix the issue.

I am able to print from webpages when I use a different web browser however, so the issue is something definetly with IE

Three things to try in order of least invasive first:
    1. Check the Add-ons and disable anything you don't trust, such as controls without a manufacturer listed.
    2. As above, but make sure the Java controls are enabled
    3. Go to C:\windows\Downloaded Program Files and tell me what items are listed there and if any have a status other than "Installed".
    4. Go to each page of your Internet Explorer options and reset everything to the default.
    *5. Reinstall IE
    *6. Reinstall your printer drivers

    * - You can hold off on doing these steps until we've explorer all the other options if you prefer.

You might want to try this also before doing a reinstall.

tried everything listed here. Unfortunetly, I was un-able to make any headway on the machine so I just reformated it and started over..

I always like the smell of paint I suppose...

    that's everyone for your help
