Seach Links Not Working

System: WindowsXP Home - Service Pack 3

Whenever I conduct a search and click on a link, I'm taken to a totally unrelated website. This happens most, but not all the time. Sometimes, but rarely, it works properly.

I've run CCleaner, but it doesn't help. This has only been happening for the past week or two. Should I just try downloading and installing another copy of IE (7 or 8), or is there a solution??

Sounds like your browser might have hijacked by some malware,did you scan for any spyware or malware yet?if not,try scanning with Malwarebytes or Superantispyware programs,maybe they'll find the bug thats causing the redirect.
