Search Function Problem...

    Hows everyone doing? Well i have a problem with my search function. I go to Start>Search and it starts up, and 5 seconds after i start my search it gives the "Explorer Not Responding" (or similar) and it forces me to end task and then i just goes back to my desktop and i can't search. This happens everytime i do a search. Any suggestions?

    Wow, you have some rather unusual problems.

    I would follow EXACTLY the steps outlined in this thread. If that fails, I would recommend a repair install of XP.

    There's likely quicker and easier steps you could take; you can wait for someone to post.
    These won't hurt to follow, however. Use your own discretion.

    I'm running Windows XP Professional. And if it helps, i'm on a AMD Sempron processor.
