Hi folks, new to the group. I've got a problem searching the internet. When I do a search using any search engine, I'll get a list of results. When I choose one of the results, click on it, I'll be directed to a different site. Click again, same thing, .....different site. The THIRD try will take me to the site that I had chosen the first two times. Any advice for me?

    Thanks in advance,
    Smurfsdad

Sounds like your DNS capability is messed up and your being redirected around in a tug of war. Check that your Host file has not been hijacked.
Check with other users on the same type of service, ie.. cable, DSL from the same provider.
Call your ISP and see if other users are having issues.
It could be a browser problem too, try switching to Fire Fox or Netscape's. Clean out all temp files, internet history and cahe.
You may also want to download and install the free program SPYBOT S&D. It does a Great Job at identifying issues with Sneaky stuff on your computer.
