Searchme.com, security

I just heard about a search site called searchme.com. I visited and gave it a try, and it looks pretty neat. What happens there is that you type in your search and you see pictures of the web pages, rather than a page full of links in text. It made me wonder, however, about security. What would happen if your search yielded a web page with malicious content? When you see the picture of the web page, what, if any, of that web page's contents or codes or what have you could be downloaded onto your computer? I'm asking this because last year, my son happened to land on a couple of pages that were not what they seemed and there were attempts made to infect our computer. The attempts were not successful, fortunately. I have wondered what would have happened had he been using searchme.

I clicked on the 'contact us' link on their main page. I was using Firefox at the time, and I have WOT installed as an add on to that browser. From the contact us page, I tried both the support link and the feedback link, and I got a warning from WOT both times that the pages were not trustworthy. I chose not to pursue it. The pages probably were OK, but I wasn't willing to press my luck.

So that's my question, if anyone knows. Can content from the web page images shown on visual search engines such as searchme end up on a person's computer?
