searchmiracle; adsrevenue

Hello and I do appeciate the warm welcomes from the group...

I have tried to simply follow the instructions given to others to remove the searchmiracle annoyance, but its been to no avail. I do have up to date norton subscriptions and I just deleted a copy of Search and Destroy. In its place, I've added XoftSpy, which is to no avail either.

Attached is my hijackthis log. Please help if you can

Please use this log as the real log. The first time I didnt save the program to the right directory. Attached is an updated log from the right directory.

 

First, Please go to Control Panel and open Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the following:

Optimum Online

Now, please follow ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

After doing ALL of the above post a fresh HJT log.

 

you do realize that deleted Opt. Online will delete my internet connection?

 

Thats your ISP?

C:\Program Files\Optimum Online\Netsurf.exe
The file named netsurf.exe is an application used to display advertising. Its part of Optimum Online. If its your ISP leave it as is.

 

yes, thats my ISP....Cablevision's online service is named Optimum Online. And I did some stuff....lol...it isnt coming up anymore, here is a new copy of the log...

Is there a reason you only ran TrendMicro? Why didnt you run Symantec's online scan?
