Second Opinion

Here is the way it is, I asked Cyber Tech Help but I want a second opinion before I shell out a lot of cash for a part that cannot be returned you know. I want to upgrade my graphics on my two year old computer, right now I have a Geforce 7600 GS, with a HD Digital TV Tuner Card. I'm updating my Monitor to Digital HDTV so I want to upgrade the video card also. Now my motherboard accepts a PCI express X 16 so I need to know now that I see upgrade details include PCI express 1.0 X 16 and the PCI express 2.0 which will work in the slot that I have. I have 2 gigs of memory, the system max, 3.0 ghz Intell Pentium D, 250 gig harddrive with at least another 250 gigs that will be added soon. :confused

 

The 7600GS I think can handle HD tv. If you want to upgrade your video card I would look into a 8600 GT
