How do I get rid of UEFI secure boot in the bias? On a Acer Asprie E5-552 laptop.
The hard drive failed and I replaced it, and put a fresh copy of Win 10 on the new drive. I could not install win 10 on the acer, so I put the drive in my laptop and install win 10
When I put it in the Acer now I get (no boot device found) but it boot fine in my two laptops that I have.
My laptops have basic bias and MBR. So how do I change it back too basic bias and MBR.

    Thanks in advance b1.

Changing the setting from Secure boot to Standard will be in the bios. You will need to google how to access it as some laptops, ie Sony, have a particular process.

While in bios check to make sure that the HDD is set to first in the boot order, just in case.

MBR or GPT is a function of how the partition tables on the HDD were originally set up. Has nothing to do with the bios.

In order to find out which one you have on your HDD you can install minitool partition wizard (free) or download and run the (free) bootable version. When the program opens it will show you which one is on the disk drive. You can also use that prog to change it, but back up any data first.

    Good Luck

I fixed the problem. I had to go to the bias screen to boot. The first line down said boot (UEFI) I clicked on it and it gave me the option for UEFI or LEGACY. Changed it to lagacy push F10 save and exit, and it rebooted in lagacy mode and Windows booted up.
