    Hi there,

This post relates to the software "Secure-it", located on Majorgeeks: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4475.html - Ive been using this handy little tool for a few months now with no problems. Today though (15.01.06) with a new definitions update from Avast (im using the Pro 4.6 version) Avast is now telling me there is a trojan in the executable of Secure-it.

Now its probably just a false positive, I did a scan with NOD32, Bit Defender 8 and Ewido 3.5 (all with most recent updates) and they reported nothing wrong. I have emailed Avast with my concerns also.

    For your information only.....

    Richie :)

I suspect your feelings on a false positive are correct as from time to time all the AVs pick up a legitimate applications files as a nasty, I would also suspect we will see an update quite quickly from Avast as they are pretty good at fixing and updating their software.

Cheers for the heads up Richie :)
