Secure website access issues with different user profiles

I have been having trouble accessing secure websites for the last few days. After trying everything (see previous thread) I have managed to get a new administrator profile working with internet access that seems to be working properly.

Why is this??

Is it possible to carry the new profile settings back to my original profile? Is it just a matter of time before this new profile stops accessing secure websites too? I know I should be happy that it's working at all, but it seems like a bandaid solution and I'd like to know why it's happening!!

 

Well it didn't last for long. My new administrator profile can no longer access secure sites either!!
Am I doomed to having to create a new profile everytime I want to get on a secure website?? Or do I just never turn my computer off again!!
Any ideas??
