    I have two quick questions.

    1.)I have Webroot Spy Sweeper with Antivirus I've fully updated it and it's definition files. I was wondering how good a anti virus program is it (I'm kinda stuck with it till my subscription runs out then I'll probably go back to Avast.) And Spy Sweeper sometimes slows the system down to a crawl. I am running it on Vista basic with 1 gig of ram the I don't not have the slow system problem till I run Spy Sweeper. The severity of the problem varies slightly but in the worse case scenario I have to re boot. In order to do scans or anything that requires it to be open for more then a few minutes I go to Safe Mode. I've articles across the internet complaining of the same thing many people seem to be blaming this on version 5. I was wondering what was going on also note that this is the only program that triggers this problem and only when it's running i have a legitimate DVD and keycode from circuit city.

    2.) I have the following programs installed (OS is Vista Basic):

    Webroot's Spy Sweeper with Anti Virus (latest version, fully updated) which I use to perform on-demand sweeps. All shields are activated with all security increasing items enabled.
    Ad-Aware 2007 (fully updated)
    Spybot - S&D (fully updated)
    Spywareblaster (fully updated)
    Windows Defender (came with OS, fully updated)
    ZoneAlarm Firewall (Windows Firewall is disabled, fully updated)
    CCleaner (fully updated)

    I was wondering if there was anything else that I could install to increase my system's protection with Vista. I do scans with all my anti-spyware and anti-virus programs and I get nothing in the way of infections. The number of items Webroot's shields blocks increases but the number of items detected during scans don't. Also I have seen no signs of malware on my PC yet I feel I'm missing something am I being overly worried? Isn't it strange that all my anti malware programs report no problems. I have all OS upgrades for Vista.

    Im my opinion you have too much protection. Your system is slow because of all the protection you have.

    Personally, I would disable the AV in SpySweeper and just use SS for malware protection such as spyware, hijackers, etc;

    I would recommend keeping ZoneAlarm for a firewall and CCleaner for a drive cleaner and would uninstall the rest as SS does everything the others do.

    I would install an AV such as Avast or AVG and disable SS's AV.
