Security center false alert

    I am having the security red shield on my tray bar. When I open the security center it says "Virus Protection not found". However avast! is up and running with all providers. Any ideas on what causes the Center to alert me?

    Go to the security center and click the options link for anti-virus and choose the "I have a virus program which I will monitor myself" option.

    Maybe the recent hotfixes reset your security center to default.

    I had not notice that there was a reply here!
    Anyway, I didn't wanna do that (simply disabling the notification) so quickly. Something must be wrong, right? I uninstalled avast and the same thing happens with Avira Anti-vir. Any other thoughts?
