Security for mac

:cool Ok, Im new to using the forum but have used the site for years. Was wondering if I should get a full security suite for my mac. Been a Windows guy for a long time but made the switch and it's like culture shock. Using O S X LION 10.7.5 It's been a little slow and the dreaded beach ball is becoming a regular guest. I recently ran into some suspect websites and don't know if something has burrowed in? HELP!

One more question… Was wondering which one of these apps you recommend as being the best? Is one better than the other or are they all pretty much doing the same job? Some are freeware, some are not. I don't care if I have to pay, as long as I'm getting the best protection for my mac. Thanks!

You're talking to the wrong person I'm afraid. I'm a Windows person through and through at the moment. :-D You could post your question in the software section and see if anyone who uses a Mac as well as Windows chimes in, but be aware this is a Windows dominated forum.
