Security padlocks glow in the right hand bottom corner in websites for banks or other places where you post important information. Then why is the Secure Site pop up coming up on youtube and and forum sites? It has also happened in my email. It's crazy. Then sometimes that padlock even appears if I click okay on the pop up then again sometimes it does not. Whta is happening!?

Probably a Phish that is making you think that you are entering a SSH website.

Then again why would they do that if it's a website that I'm not going to put any personal information in?

Anyone can show an example of what an actual certificate should look like?

Dont know if this is the extent, but usually if you are signing into a site that needs a password it will show the lock, then depending on the site(usually not bank accounts of course) it will dissapear once in. only locked while giving your passkey, then dissapearing after,. This is normal for forums too. If its an important account like a bank, and you really arent sure and suspicious, you should immediately call your branch (or what have you) and check into it in case it is very serious!?!!

heres an example of Yahoo, this shows a key(same thing as a lock),
Also an example of a bank login, same key (lock ) in the corner. Bank accts will stay locked as other sites just hide your log ins, hope this helps :)

I appeciate your response Jazagod. So you think this is normal for a site like Youtube or a forum? I would not think it would happen with simple sites like those, but maybe it does to others as well. It usually happens as I'm browsing the forum. I was more so wondering what the actual certificate for a site looked like, but thanks anyway.
