I am currently using Pc Tools Firewall Plus, Pc Tools Anti-Virus, and IOBit 360 and Threatfire. I have noticed some definite lag in my computer when starting up and the Start menu bar loads in sections. I run Vista SP1.

    500GB HD
    2.4GHz Intel Dual Core Processor
    4GB's RAM
Dual NVidia 8900 GT Graphics Cards
    yadda yadda yadda.

Prior to this I was using the same firewall and AVG and only installed IOBit since it looked like a better anti-spyware/malware program to run along side the two. I kept getting BSD's and had multiple issues so I did a reinstall and figured that since all three should work harmoniously due to the makers, but that appears to not be the case.

Is it just a matter of being more patient and giving them time to load, is IOBit known to not play well with others (anti-virus, firewall, since it is listed under Spyware but actually defined as more of an all-in-one). I do not require suggestions, I will just go back to ZA or Comodo and AVG and use Spyware Blaster and try IOBit with them. I am certain it is not a malware issue, as I stated I just did a complete reinstall.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

Anyone have any ideas about known conflicts with these four programs?

Well, one conflict I can see right now is the fact that you have two anti-virus programs running simultaneously, when doing so many conflicts between the two programs arise. Running all those anti-malware programs will cause your system to lag a bit on startup, I have never seen or worked with IObit so I can't tell you if it conflicts specifically with those programs but I would start by sticking to one anti virus program, one firewall (which windows firewall is sufficient if you want to just protect your computer from external threats and aren't worried to much about seeing when malware communicates to the internet), and at least one anti-spyware. If you are looking to have your computer not lag on startup, get an anti-spyware program that doesn't specifically run at startup such as spybot s&d.

Try this out and get back to me.

Although... why would you ever get rid of the previous combination of comodo, AVG and SB...:p

See I was under the impression that IOBit Security was for Spyware because that is the section it is located in. I realize it also manages other things like malware and active protection, and I really like the program. I was considering getting rid of PCTools Anti-Virus but I am not sure if IOBit is set-up to completely take care of malware/viruses. So, I did not believe I was using two anti-viruses. I got bored with Spybot S&D because it never finds anything...I do not know if that is because Spyware Blaster was working really well or my firewall was. Windows Defender is decent enough for a back-up. My original set-up was ZA, AVG, Spybot, Super anti-Malware (weekly runs), and Spyware Blaster. I have been hearing a lot of good things about Comodo though so I will most likely switch to it, use AVG, and go back to Spyware Blaster. Will have to look around for another Spy/Adware scanner though. I do not have a lot of faith in Spybot anymore. I don't mind system lag during start-up so much, it is the little interferences like the firewall GUI stops working for no reason..definitely a conflict somewhere. Thank you for responding. Just really curious about IOBit Security because it is an awesome program..possibly misplaced by putting it in Spyware??

I have decided to go with PCTools Firewall, AVG, Spyware Blaster, and IOBit Security. If there are conflicts I will assume that IOBit was misplaced in Spyware rather than Anti-Virus and remove it. Anyone knowing of an issue with this set-up please let me know. Any information as to what IOBit actually is..whether it is Anti-Virus or Spyware....or good enough to be run as both. Hello MAJORGEEKS!!!!

IObit is anti-spyware, the other anti-virus I was refering to was threatfire.

Iobit 360 is the problem here. I have tried. It slows down applications. It also slows down internet access. Google chrome would not load at all. Not sure of the how and why though. System was back to normal after removing IObit 360.
