This hit my machine this morning. I was able to read a number of advisories that said that Spyware Doctor would fix the problem. It hasn't. The pop ups continue and although Spyware Dr got rid of a few files that were pretty much blatently identified as Security Shield, it didn't get rid of everything. Any advice? I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Nancy.:confused

OK, I was finally able to get Spyware Dr. to remove Security Shield completely but it took several tries, several reboots and (and this is important), empty your CACHE completely. Run both scans at least twice, reboot, and it should be gone. You may get an error message that a file is trying to attach itself to your start-up menu. Tell Spyware Dr. to quarantine it. That should take care of the problem. If you don't quarantine it will probably just come back every time you reboot (or that's what some people have experienced from posts I've read).
