I have my updates on automatic, so that it notifies me and then I OK the install. Well, I got notified today that Windows had a new security update to do with malicious software removal tool, so I OK'd it. Restarted the computer and couldn't get to the internet, so I removed it and everything worked fine. Left the computer for a bit and the idiot thing installed again and again, I couldn't get to the internet. So I uninstalled it again and fixed it so I have to install it myself.

The update in question is Security update for windows XP (KB951748). I need to know is this a major update that I really, really need? And if so, HOW am I supposed to get around the internet problem?
    Thanks,
    Nancy

I have Windows XP home edition, security pack 2.
